This weekend had 2 firsts for us. The first one was our first visitor from the US, Wes. Granted he was cheating a little since he only had to come up from Melbourne, but at least we got to see him before he left to go back to the US. His visa is expired so he's being kicked out of this country! First, we had a delicious brunch at a cafe along the beach. Since it was cloudy, the view wasn't great, but at least the flies weren't everywhere!
Even though Wes has been in Australia for 5 months, he's been working so hard that he's only been to Sydney one other time and was only able to take a bus tour. So, we brought him to the Opera House.
We showed him how the tiles of the Opera House were different colors and finishes.
We walked around the Rocks and the market before finally settling down at a German Bar/Restaurant. Between the 3 of us, we got different sizes of beers.
Of course, Wes's beer was the biggest one. Look how big it is compared to his head!
After Wes left, we joined up with some Bain people for dinner and then a show at the Opera House. We ended up seeing Don's Party, which was based on a party during election night in the 1960s. There were a couple of jokes that we didn't understand and sometimes the accent was hard for us to understand, but overall the play was pretty entertaining.

Bain people? Looks like Bain Women to me. Any men work there? I thought the beer was terrible. We showed our Aussie travel agent your blog. She thought Denise she find a new calling and David's rendition (new movie BTW) of checking into the Sideny Airport for intra AU flight should be on Jay Leno's.
Maybe I should proof read my comments.
