Day 2: Downtown Sydney

Despite the rough morning start of getting up at 5 am, David and I managed to kill some time before going out to get some breakfast at a bakery. We also explored Manly Wharf a little bit before heading home for a 2 hour nap. After the nap, we took the ferry over to downtown Sydney. The ferry is what David will be taking to and from work every day.

Look at the amazing views of the Opera House and the Bridge that he'll get to see every day!

The wharf that he arrives at is right between the Opera House and the bridge, so it gets even better! Since it was our first day in downtown Sydney, we had to do all the touristy things. We went to the Sydney Tower and saw amazing views of the city. The Bain building is the tall building on the left of this picutre with the triangle shaped top.

We also visited a park and then the Botanical Gardens and saw these beautiful rose gardens.

Afterwards, we took a tour of the Sydney Opera House. The architecture in the building is pretty damn cool. Here's a picture from the biggest building. The theatre is its own structure within the sails.

Here's a view of the Opera House from the other side of the wharf.

After the Opera House, we met up with one of David's co-workers and her partner for dinner before taking our ferry back home. It was an exhausting day walking around Sydney, but it was worth it!

Let's see. Monday get up early. Then sightsee and have dinner. Does David do any work? I think I like this gig. Need Psychiatrist?
