After a quick shower, we left the apartment to explore our new home. Our apartment is in a great location. We're living in Manly, a suburb north of Sydney. Our place is a 60 second walk to the beach, and a 5 minute walk to the ferry.
Here's the view from right outside our apartment building door:
Walking down the street, you immediately hit Manly Beach.
One block over is the famed Corso, a bustling strip of cafes, shops, and restaurants. Denise forgot her sunglasses.
On the other side of Manly is the wharf where the ferry lives that David will take every morning into the city.
After exploring around a bit, jet lag finally caught up with us so we grabbed some lunch at a cafe and went home to take a nap at around noon. Denise was supposed to set the alarm for 1:45, but instead she messed up so we slept until 3:00!
In the afternoon, we walked along the beach and did some more exploring. Then we grabbed dinner (great seafood!) and are about to call it a night. Yes, it is only 8:00 here.
Tomorrow we will venture into the city. We'll let you know if we run into Nicole Kidman or Russell Crowe.
